General Admissions
Enrolling at one of these 10 campuses can be quite a wait. Due to the number of applicants each day, the waiting lines can sometimes last all day. The administrations office is extremely busy and they are always slammed with piles of paperwork to maintain enrollment and other student issues. Not only do they have to deal with students on campus, but they also get a high volume of phone calls each day pertaining to different issues. The campuses are also supposed to only allow 27,000 students to enroll per campus but there are currently three campuses that house over 30,000 students. If you are an undergraduate student, the application you fill out will automatically be placed with the campus of your choice and it is the same application for all campuses. Each department handles separate applications, so if you are a graduate student or professional student, you would need to speak to that department to get the proper application. If you are a California high school student, you must rank among the top eight in your class to be eligible to attend the University of California. All other students must meet all requirements to be considered for enrollment. These requirements are based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, essays, and life challenges. If you rank in the top 4% of your class you will automatically be accepted into the University of California, but it is not guaranteed that you will get accepted to the campus you want. If you applied for a specific campus, you may not be accepted into that particular one, but you may be referred to another campus where there is an opening. You may also want to apply to more than one campus at a time. You can do this by filling out one application and paying a small fee for each campus you apply at. Here are a few things that each campus has to offer.
